I know, awful joke. The memes are just too good these days, I can't pass them up.

But, either way, I wanted to share some photos from a day trip I took to Howth, Ireland on Friday!

Howth is a small ocean village about an hour outside Dublin (by train, that is!). It is still in County Dublin, but it is far enough outside of town that it doesn't have any of the hustle and bustle that Dublin does. It was a very windy day, and we were actually advised not to hike along the cliffs by the ocean, so naturally, we hiked along the cliffs by the ocean. Although it was freezing, rainy, and the wind was howling so loud we could hardly talk to each other, the views were so worth it. The pictures don't do Howth justice in all fairness. The vast ocean in the distance positioned below the bellowing cliffs was an absolutely majestic view, and once the rain stopped and the fog cleared later in the afternoon, the bay was framed in a gentle sunset and it cast the most beautiful light on the water. The next day, we went to Cork, so stay tuned for a post on that!
