Best bags for school

I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that I'm starting classes 2 weeks from tomorrow. It all just seems too soon!

I know that many of y'all are gearing up to go back as well, and definitely wanted to post about one of the most important accessories in your academic career - your backpack.

I carry almost everything on me at all times. This probably isn't ideal but I would rather lug a heavy backpack than be underprepared! I currently carry the North Face Recon and have since I was a freshman in high school. It's held up for six consecutive school years, and for a $70 backpack, it has exceeded my expectations.

This summer, I carried the Dagne Dover 15-inch tote every single day for work. I wanted a bag that would be both functional and visually appealing, and after reading many reviews about the brand, I asked for the bag for my birthday. I cannot stop raving about it, and if I didn't have to carry so many books, I would use it for school in a heartbeat.

For school, I prefer a functional bag over a fashionable one. I'll carry the ugliest backpack if it manages to both contain and organize all of my crap (Except a rolling backpack. Never again.). I've had almost every bag listed above, from Land's End backpacks to the Dagne Dover tote, and highly recommend them all. It just depends on how much you're willing to sacrifice for fashion and how much you have to carry!
