Link Love + Lowdown

Man, oh man. This has already been one heck of a week and I didn't even have school on Monday.

Link Love //

If you haven't taken my reader survey yet, please do! The answers I've received so far have been tremendously helpful and insightful, and the more I receive, the better I can accommodate your desires and requests.

"Remembering David Bowie: The Man, The Legend, The Sexual Abuser" // As many of you know, David Bowie, along with Alan Rickman, passed away last week. Although many remember David Bowie's impressive musical career as well as many other things, one of my sorority sisters shared this article on Facebook, and I think it is an important piece to read when considering how to commemorate his memory.

10 Millennial Myths To Stop Believing // This was an awesome article. I feel like often, the millennial generation can be stereotyped and brushed off, but I really enjoyed reading this article that debunks many of these common myths about how millennials function in the workplace.

I loved this article from Refinery29 about different types of calories. Rather, it made some really awesome points about how the different types of calories you consume (i.e. carbs, protein, fat, etc) can affect your body and how they can be absorbed and turned into energy.

Making a Murderer // Y'all....this show is frankly difficult to watch at times. My heart just hurts for Steve Avery and his family at points in this documentary that has taken Netflix by storm. However, I think it's important to acknowledge that this documentary doesn't really show much of the opposing side. In fact, it's pretty darn biased in my opinion. But, it definitely makes you think about the justice system.

Lowdown //

I hope y'all are having a great start to the semester! I feel like I'm already super busy and have so much reading to do. Last semester I only had one reading-heavy class and it really wasn't even that reading-heavy compared to these two reading-heavy classes that I have this semester. Furthermore, I have yet another semester of accounting to tackle, and my professor started off the first day by stating how much harder this class was going to be than the last semester of accounting. What a treat, right?!

I've also been pretty busy with KD things, and I'm settling a bit more into my job. One thing I'm really learning is the importance of good communication. I also have to be more aware about how I communicate things effectively, because I often forget that others cannot read my mind *monkey covering eyes emoji*

But other than that, I don't have too much to tell, and frankly... that's kind of a good thing :)

Hope y'all are having an awesome week!
