Link Love + Lowdown

I hope you all are recovering from wonderful holiday breaks! I seriously LOVED being home this past week. It was exactly what I needed and I feel like I'm ready (hopefully) to take on this last little bit of the semester.

It's been a crazy two weeks, so be sure to catch up in the "lowdown" section of this post - but up first, links!

Link Love //

19 She's the Man quotes that will always make you laugh // She's the Man is hands-down my all-time favorite movie, so anytime I see a Buzzfeed article on it, I get really excited and bookmark it right away! #myfavoritesgouda

37 things the Kardashians have 100% said // I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard. I definitely took advantage of having cable while I was home and caught up on some #KUWTK.

Black Friday // Lordy, lordy. I've rounded up all my best steals & deals here, but there are several other bloggers who did fantastic jobs of this also if you're still looking for a great holiday gift.

18 prettiest medium-length haircuts // My hair has grown 10 inches since I chopped it all off last Thanksgiving, so now I'm officially a "medium-length" gal! I'm definitely going to grow my hair out again, but I'm definitely thinking about shaking the medium-length up a bit while I've still got it.

Pure Barre Platform // Pure Barre released a new type of class this month and I made sure to take it while I was home for Thanksgiving. It was hard, but I absolutely loved it! I was constantly challenged and Lord knows I sweat out a good percentage of my Thanksgiving meal. I loved the mix of cardio moves with classic Pure Barre technique.

Theraflu Daytime & Nighttime tea // I've been fighting an upper respiratory infection for a few weeks. It's this nasty & constant cough that I can't seem to shake. My mom gave me this Theraflu tea to drink while I was at home and it was probably the first medicinal product that didn't gross me out. It actually tastes good!

MM Gift Guides // If you haven't already started your holiday shopping, be sure to check out my gift guides! I'm planning on making every gift guide to feature gifts that are all $50 or less, but in my sidebar gift widgets I'll have more specific price ranges: under $25, under $50, and under $150. If you need help selecting the perfect gift but don't see what you're looking for, email me!

Julie's recap of the Kendra Scott Party // Such a wonderful day. Which perfectly leads into...

Lowdown //

These past few weeks have been i-n-s-a-n-e. I literally just had to look at my planner to try and remember everything that's happened because it's all been so busy!

On the 21st, I co-hosted a blogger shopping party at the newly opened Kendra Scott Memphis with 4 other beautiful bloggers. It was such a fun event and all-in-all a "pinch me," moment. I loved getting to mingle with the other bloggers and shoppers, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of an event like that.

That was on a Saturday, but the previous Monday, I was elected the Vice President of Public Relations in my sorority! I am so honored and excited to take on this role and serve on our executive council. I think that every other girl on council is perfect for her role, and I'm really excited to lead our chapter with these strong women.

We had our first council meeting the day after the Kendra Scott party, and although that was in the afternoon, I spent the entire day that Sunday studying like a madwoman because I had an 8 page research paper due for my International Studies class on Monday. As if that wasn't enough, I had a 2 hour accounting exam to take on Monday night! I felt like my brain was absolutely fried by the end of the day.

As I was preparing for both of these major assignments, I was feeling like I was in a funk. I knew I was heading home on Tuesday, and I was really excited about that, but on Monday morning, I just decided that I was going to drive home later that night. I knew that my exam would get out around 7:30 or 8 PM, and I hadn't packed a single thing. As such, I probably wouldn't get on the road until 9 central time, and probably wouldn't get home until 3 AM EST (Memphis is on Central Time and Chattanooga is on Eastern Time. Confusing, right?). So, as a study break I went and put air in my tires and gas in my car just in case I still felt like driving home after my test.

The knowledge that I could be in my own bed later that night put me in a significantly better mood for the rest of the day, and although I can't say that my accounting exam went fantastically well, it's over and I arrived in Chattanooga around 2:30 Tuesday morning and slept until almost noon.

The rest of my break was spent catching up on sleep and assignments and spending as much time with my family as possible. It was exactly what I needed and I'm as ready as I'm going to be for exams. Be sure to stay tuned as I share my finals tips + survival tricks.

Hope you all had restful Thanksgivings as well. :)
