Hair Daze

Ain't no day like a good hair day.

Goody Clean Radiance Hairbrush c/o

My hair is...interesting.

It's been through over 10 years of swimming for at least two hours a day, highlights, and general wear and tear. Chlorine takes quite a toll on my hair - think frizzy, dry, and broken. I still have a line of "baby hairs" at the nape of my neck that are split and unruly - and I don't think they'll ever go away.

My sophomore year of high school, I decided that even though my hair was a crazy mess, I was going to donate it. I waited until it hit my low chest and before I walked into the salon, I put it into a low ponytail and measured the amount I needed to meet the donation requirement. I wanted the hair I had left to hit around my shoulders, but when I sat down in the chair, my stylist moved my ponytail up about 3 inches and cut from there.

Needless to say, my hair did NOT hit around my shoulders.

Nearly three years later, my hair was finally back to where it was before I had chopped it off - and I was ready to cut it all again. Last Thanksgiving, I donated my hair for the second time, and thankfully this time, my stylist didn't move the ponytail. It hit my collarbone and since last year, my hair has grown 10 inches!

But, it's still fluffy and frizzy sometimes. Since I started using this Goody Clean Radiance brush, I've seen a significant improvement in my hair's overall poofiness, and I'm excited to see how much more it improves over time. The copper bristles in the brush help get rid of buildup, and keeping that down helps hair look shinier and less frizzy. Plus, since the bristles have a lot of cushioning so brushing your hair doesn't hurt a bit.
