5 Apps Every Twenty-Something Needs

I'll be 20 in April, it's close enough.
One // Banking App
MUST. HAVE. This app has literally been a lifesaver for my finances. Since it's right there on my homepage and easy to navigate, I have no excuses to not check my balance.

Two // SafeTrek
This app is one of those "just in case" apps. When you open the app, you can hold a button down if you're feeling unsafe, and you only release it when you feel safe again. If you hold it down and immediately release it without entering your 4-number pin, the authorities are called and directed to your location. Rather, if something is seriously happening that causes you to release your hold on the button early, you have to enter a passcode to cancel the police from coming. If you don't enter it, they're on their way. Fortunately, I haven't had to use it, but I'm so glad that I have it.

Three // Pharmacy App
I have the CVS app, and I know many other national pharmacy chains have apps as well. You can save your discount card in here, get coupons, and submit your prescriptions for refill. Convenience!

Four // LinkedIn
The summer internship hunt is beginning. In chapter last week, we had a LinkedIn workshop that gave us tips for maximizing our profile potential, and I made sure to update mine. We learned that the more you log on, the more likely you are to be pushed to the top of a search, so be sure to check it regularly!

Five // Google Maps
I can't recommend Google Maps enough! One time last year I was driving back to Memphis from Chattanooga, and I was stuck in horrible traffic. Thinking that I could just pull off of the interstate and take roads in town to go home, I soon realized that many of those roads were closed for construction too and that I had absolutely no idea where I was going (and was low on gas to boot). I quickly downloaded Google Maps and it told me where the traffic patterns were bad and suggested multiple routes based on time, traffic, and safety.
