If you've been following along on Instagram (if not, go follow me! @memphismadeblog), you'll have seen that I was in DC last week visiting my friends Olivia, Simon, Sara, Emily, and Maddie (who just started her own blog!). We had a BLAST! Think copious amounts of dance parties and laughter (...and parking. Parking is SO EXPENSIVE I cannot handle it).

I arrived on Monday afternoon and went to a Nationals game soon after landing. I hadn't been to a major league game in ages, and with free tickets and dollar hot dogs, it was a home run in my book. Then, we went to the monuments in the middle of the night just because we could. Hey, if Claire Underwood can run around the National Mall at midnight, why can't I? ;)

Tuesday, we slept in a bit, and while Maddie worked, Olivia and I went to Chipotle and then walked around Georgetown for a few hours before going to our first SoulCycle class! We died. Our seats are still so sore, we will definitely be asking for the gel seats next time!

We then had dinner with some of our DC-area teammates and stayed up far too late catching up on life. Wednesday, Olivia and I explored Georgetown some more, as we didn't get to see everything we wanted to the day earlier. We then headed back to Maddie's house once she got off of work, and had a girls night in, with Mary Kate & Ashley movies and takeout.

Thursday morning, we were all up early to grab brunch with Emily, who had arrived in DC late Wednesday night. Then, Maddie and Olivia sprinted me to the airport and even though the GPS didn't want us to get there, we did and I caught my flight home.

I'm moving back to Memphis this weekend, and although Simon and I will be there early (we're PA leaders!), the rest of the crew will arrive a week later! I can't wait to be back with all of my teammates & friends for good!
