White Out

When I was in elementary school, the coolest birthday you could have was to invite the entire grade to the local rollerblading rink.

About halfway through the party, the DJ or MC would call all the kids to attention and have us play some games. One of the games we'd play was called "Wipe Out," but I always thought it was "White Out." Considering that the point of the game was to fall on the ground as quickly as you could once the MC called "Wipe Out," I should've figured that the name of the game wasn't actually "White Out."

Well, I went to another party there in middle school and realized that the game is actually quite dangerous, as is all of this icy snow stuff on the ground.

But, I will say that when I found out this month's linkup theme was "White," it certainly was fitting that after planning to wear this white dress from ASOS, 4 inches of snow showed  up on the ground making for an absolutely gorgeous background and lighting, as well as an ironic blog post.

This is the dress I was initiated into Kappa Delta in. I've been waiting for the perfect opportunity to showcase it on the blog because it holds a special meaning to me.

Plus, the details are so pretty, especially in person. The material of the dress itself is a soft and stretchy jersey, and the sleeves are a mesh with lace sewn in.

Perfect for initiations and snow days, isn't it?! Shop these pieces and similar ones below:

  1. Hehe I love your little memento at the beginning. I was never allowed to go to the skating rink lol but it definitely was considered the "cool" place to hang out. This dress looks SO comfortable, and I am loving your KS!
