The first full week

Well, I'm so happy to say that my first full week in Memphis went really, really well. You might remember that I moved across the state for college on the 21st, and started classes on the 27th.

It's been a pretty cool week honestly. I'm amazed at how close the swimmers are already. We have spent so much time together but it's really cool to see how we already act like one giant family.

I also had my first class with boys in 7 years! It wasn't as weird as I thought it would be, surprisingly enough. I am taking a variety of classes, and I think the most challenging one will be Computer Science. I'm looking forward to it though because a) my roommate is in my class and b) I want to use the skills I learn there to make this blog better.

One of the numerous benefits of spending so much time with your teammates is that if one gets sick, everyone else does too. I was chugging orange juice and coffee to get through the first week of school, but I think almost all of us are feeling better now.

The entire of the freshman class was officially inducted into the Rhodes community by signing the honor pledge. It was a formal ceremony that was an excuse to dress up a bit!

And of course, we've all been having a bit of fun too ;)
