Video: Spring Break Essentials

So this is going to be a bit of a hybrid post - half writing, half video.

I think we all have quite a bit of spring fever. It's starting to get warm, daylight savings are officially back (yay?) and it is also spring break season.

I personally will be leaving for warmer weather next week (SO EXCITED!), but I definitely needed to stock up on my spring break essentials!

This is by far the best sunscreen I have ever used. It is white and creamy, and yes, it does make me look like a ghost, but I have never once been burnt while using this. I love it especially since it doesn't irritate my skin or make me break out.

If you're going anywhere hot or cold, you need hydration. I always keep a water bottle in my beach bag so I won't get sick from being dehydrated. Always remember that the sun depletes your hydration more than you think it will! My doctor told me the cardinal rule for how much water to drink is to take your weight in pounds and divide it by two - that's how many ounces you should drink per day.

The link above is for the Camelbak bottle, but I also try to keep my Tervis with me (monogrammed of course!) with some iced green tea in it. I've been on a green tea kick lately and am loving the extra energy it's giving me! Click here to see some other health benefits of it.

Another way to protect yourself from the sun AND look cute! I personally am really loving sunglasses now, and the warmer it gets around here, the more I want to wear them. I think they just add a little bit of summery mystique to an outfit, and I can't wait to (hopefully) get my hands on some of these! Note - Ray-Ban is my favorite brand because it's easy to find polarized sunglasses (which I love for lifeguarding and poolside jobs or activities).

Now check out my video for the complete list of all of my favorite things to bring to a tropical spring break destination!

Happy Spring Break!
